This holiday season, legendary specialty retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, Beverly Hills, once again teamed with St. Vincent Meals on Wheels and Miss Lilly’s Trading Company for a festive evening of shopping, sipping champagne and cocktails, and sampling gourmet nibbles. Saks donated a percentage of all sales on the evening of December 8 to SVMOW, the country’s largest, privately funded senior nutrition program, as well as to Miss Lilly’s Trading Company for their pet program, which provides much-needed food for seniors’ pets.
The evening kicked off with a celebratory VIP reception featuring epicurean delights prepared by several of the nearly 40 top L.A. chefs spotlighted in the Cart For A Cause Cookbook, whose sales benefit SVMOW. VIP patrons purchased copies of the cookbook, autographed by the chefs in attendance, including Mark Gold of Eva Restaurant, Nobu West Hollywood’s Alex Becker, Michael Fiorelli of mar’sel at Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes and Bebe Flynn of Miss Lilly’s Trading Company.
