LL COOL J Talks About Giving Back

LL COOL J and his wife Simone Smith hosted a special reception at the elegant Montage Residences in Beverly Hills on behalf of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (SVMOW) on Friday, May 4 in celebration of the organization’s 35th Anniversary.

The entertainment icon, who has found great success crossing into multiple mediums, was joined by SVMOW founder Sr. Alice Marie Quinn, DC, and the organization’s supporters and guests.

“The work that St. Vincent Meals on Wheels does every day is inspiring,” says LL COOL J. “I couldn’t be happier to help them host this special event to raise awareness of the important work they do.”We were delighted when LL and his family came to visit us at the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Kitchen, bringing their children with them so the whole family could experience the work we do each day.

We truly appreciate LL hosting this special reception for us to raise awareness and visibility of our mission, and cannot fully express our gratitude for their kindness and compassion,” noted Sr. Alice Marie.

A two-time Grammy® Award winner, recording artist, talented actor, author, NAACP Image Award winner, entrepreneur and avid philanthropist, LL continues to display his wide range of talents with every project and always looks to find time to give back. He currently stars in the CBS hit primetime drama series, “NCIS: LOS ANGELES” and his performance on the show has garnered him a NAACP Image Award in 2011 and 2012 for his role of Special Agent Sam Hannah.
